This is an agreement between you, (either an individual or a single entity) and me, sumotype foundry. By purchasing  and installing the digital typeface (hereafter font software), you accept the terms of this agreement. If you do not accept the terms, you can not download or request or use any font.

DEFINITIONS

You (or end user): define and identify a customer who has purchased a license to use some Sumotype foundry font software.  An end user is not understood as a distributor, reseller, original equipment manufacturer, wholesale purchaser, or any other similar entity. The font software o any product marketed by Sumotype foundry cannot be distributed and/or sold to third parties without the prior written consent of Sumotype Foundry.

Font (or Fonts): For the purposes of this license, a "font" is defined as the font software, the designs incorporated into it, and all supplementary materials provided together with the font software, as well as any future versions or updates. We use font for short when we refer to a typeface published by us.

GRANT OF LICENCE

By agreeing to this agreement you receive one (1) basic license to use the font software on a computer, one website, app or e-book, for an unlimited period of time unless either party terminates with the stipulated in this agreement. you are not receiving the copyright to the design or the ownership of the fonts, but the rights to use it as it is specified in this agreement.

The purchase of one (1) license grants up to three (3) users, from a single organization, the right to use one copy of the font software. 

TERMS OF USE

This license allows you to install and use the font software on a limited number of workstations. All of these workstations must be owned by the same person, company, or organization that licenses the font. This license covers usage inside your company and shall not include usage by clients or other third parties. If you have to give your client a file that need the font, he has to buy a license too. Desktop uses include, but are not limited to, designing printed materials, logos, and still images.

→ Document embedding

You can embed the font in document formats that allow font embedding, such as PDF. The font must be embedded in such a way that the reader cannot change their embedding permissions, extract the full font from the document, and create or edit new content using the font. The fonts must not be embedded in other software files and  you will take all reasonable care to embed the fonts in such a way that they cannot be extracted from the files you create. Embedding the fonts on a website with @font-face is allowed under this license.

→ Internal servers

You can install the font on an internal server as long as you do not exceed the total number of workstations.

→ Backups

You can create a copy of the desktop font for backup purposes as long as no one other than licensed users cannot access the backup.

→ License upgrade

By purchasing the font through Future Fonts, you are granted a license, and you are entitled to all future versions of the font releases. If you exceed the usage limit of your original license, you must purchase an upgrade for those that adapt to your new requirements.

→ Special uses and custom versions

If you want to use a sumotype foundry font in an unidentified way in this document or you need a custom version of the font, please contact us with your request and we will see the best way to license for that specific use.

RESTRICTIONS

→ Do not re-distribute

You must not, under any circumstances, resell, distribute, send or share the font files to third parties outside the range of the acquired license.

→ No derivative works

You must not, under any circumstances, alter all or part of the font software files or their content with the aim of reselling, distributing, sending, or sharing to third parties outside the range of the acquired license. You may not commission a third party to modify the fonts and you may not distribute, sell or give away, publicly or privately share any versions of the fonts.

→ Do not transfer licenses

You must not transfer the acquired license to third parties not contemplated in the initial purchase. you are not authorized to relinquish ownership of the license to transfer it.

→ Disclaimer of responsibilities

Sumotype Foundry declares and warrants that fonts acquired through this license are designed and produced to perform adequately according to technical standards necessary for the production and design of communication pieces in any format or medium. sumotype foundry does not and can not guarantee the performance or results obtained when using such fonts. It is your responsibility to ensure that the fonts are suitable and useful for your purposes. sumotype foundry or any of the natural persons who work with us in the manufacturing process of the font software, are not liable, under any circumstances, to be harmed or sued for the use that is given to any of the licensed fonts. If you do experience any difficulties with our fonts, we will look into the problem and do everything that we can to work with you to resolve any issues. Unfortunately we can’t give you a refund. All purchases are final. We do not guarantee that the font files work perfectly on every platform, operating system, etc. you are using the fonts on your own risk.

TERMINATION

This license becomes null and void if any of the above conditions are not met. Any breach of the terms and conditions of this agreement terminates your license to use the fonts. After any termination of the agreement you must destroy any copies of the fonts, including your archival copies.

TRIAL FONTS LICENCE

Trial fonts can only be used for internal testing purposes, and you must upgrade to a full and appropriate license before submitting or posting any work that uses the font. you may not use the fonts in any final files for any project, commercial or non-commercial.
